Robert M. Zak

Robert Zak is an Associate Attorney with Shea Aiello, PLLC. Robert began his collegiate career at Western Michigan University. He graduated from the Haworth College of Business, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Robert was also a graduate of the Lee Honors College. After graduating from Western Michigan University, Robert went on to continue his education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. During law school, Robert received two book awards for outstanding academic performance in his Corporate Law and Health Law classes.

While in law school, Robert served as a member of the University of Detroit Mercy Veteran’s Law Clinic, which provides legal services to veterans and their families of the surrounding community, primarily in the city of Detroit. On numerous occasions, he practiced before the Department of Veterans Affairs, and fought to obtain service-connected disability benefits for many of the community’s veterans. Also during law school, Robert interned for the City of Detroit Corporation Counsel, where he worked alongside attorneys and financial planners, and helped resolve property and tax disputes for citizens throughout the city of Detroit.

Robert was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in June of 2016. He is a member of the Macomb County Bar Association. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section. Robert currently specializes in Estate and Business Planning at Shea Aiello, PLLC. Robert has grown to firmly believe in the importance of developing a comprehensive and thorough estate plan with a qualified estate planning professional. He realizes that an estate plan is essential to protecting one’s assets, as well as that of their loved ones, when they no longer have the ability to do so.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and attending Detroit sporting events.
